1.FC Kaiserslautern got the name in 1932 but the foundation goes back to 1900 being one of the oldest sports club in Germany. A FV 1900 Kaiserslautern with SV Phonix merger resulted with FV Phonix – Kaiserslautern name in 1929 and that was the last name changing before the club got its current name.
Club’s colours are red and white; traditionally red shirts and red shorts with thin white lines on the edges while white shirts are used in away matches when appropriate.
1.FC Kaiserslautern has a very loyal and passionate fan support in the country mostly having high average attandances even in the second league.
