In these kind of big rivalries generally the favourite and the one in the better state, fail. This points out an Atletico Madrid win but I don’t think that unwritten rule of the derbies will apply to this one. There is a class difference in many positions between two. While I rate Atletico Madrid forwards high, I doubt the midfield has enough quality to support them and if these links are broken against a team like Real Madrid, you won’t be able to perform. Don’t forget, everybody is relying on Atletic Madrid by saying this is a derby and it is the most important game for them; It is also a derby for Real Madrid and they will indeed play their hearts out.
